On the walk between the Rialto bridge and maybe 1 minute away from Fondamenta Nuove where one takes the boat to Murano, you pass this little studio. Home to Vittorio Constantini who specialises in making miniature glass insects and animals using lamp working techniques.

Images of Shan Shan Sheng’ s latest large project in Oklahoma City. The childrens hospital features 20 of Shan Shan’ s enormous butterflies suspended in the atrium of the new building. Built to form a spacious fleet of airy, transparent forms, the sculpture will convey the wonder and metamorphosis of wellness and healing.
The Fortnum and Mason’ s design team have cracked it again with another truly inspiring set of windows. Butterfly themed, this window shows coloured drinking glasses and contemporary liquors and champagnes. Splendid.
